As a diabetic my ability to sustain an erection has been quite substantially eroded over the last two years. I find that taking Cialis goes someway to redressing this balance. The week before my first dose, I couldn't achieve an erection even with great stimulation. With Cialis, I had a rock hard erection after 5-10 minutes of stimulation. The side effects were minimal and a small price to pay for the return of my sex life.
With such a large window of time, it's hard to tell exactly when Cialis is going to be effective. I think it works, but I think a 36hour window is just too big.
With Cialis, I can have sex like I did 15 years ago. The erection was firm and felt pretty natural. This has restored my confidence and has given my usually low libido a psychological boost.
I experienced side effects such as sinus congestion, and severe headache. These were intolerable at 20mg several times weekly. I found myself going several weeks without taking any Cialis and taking a 20mg tab only when 'absolutely needed'. However, I am on quite a number of other medications, so my experience may not be typical. I think I will try Levitra.

I like the freedom Cialis allows, as it stays in your system for 36 hours. I don't think that I could handle the ticking clock aspect of some of the other treatments. I started out on a high dose but personally I believe that the effects actually increase over time, so that you need to take less and less of it to achieve the same level of potency.
